Sweet Notes Ink pairs a personalized video message with a physical gift box. This summer we ship 5,000 orders to prove post-purchase engagement at scale. The case study publishes August 2026.
The Product
A gift box that becomes
a personal digital moment.
A sender creates a video message and a written note online. We ship a branded box containing a curated three-cookie flight and a QR reveal card. The recipient scans and lands on a private, themed page — their video and message, waiting for them.
- Signature Ink Flight — three artisan cookies, each named after a fountain pen ink: the sender's Opening, Body, and Sign-off
- QR reveal card — sits on top of the cookies. The front has the unique QR code to be paired during the kitting process; the back carries Sweet Notes Ink branding
- Custom outer box — supplied by Sweet Notes Ink with all required product information on the box itself. Arrives at your dock ready to kit
- Scan the QR card → private reveal page loads instantly on their phone
- Greeting by name, the sender's video plays, written message appears below
- Their unique ink flight story — the meaning behind each cookie selection
- Option to send a reply, save the keepsake, or share the moment

The gifting industry loses all visibility the moment the box ships. We're building a public benchmark to answer one question: does a personal digital moment inside a physical gift drive measurable engagement? The case study is the entire sales tool for Phase 2.
The data this case study generates becomes the proof point for every enterprise and 3PL conversation we have from Q3 2026 onward. One partner is being selected to help build it.

Fulfillment Workflow
One new scan step.
Everything else is standard.
Orders route automatically from Shopify to your team. The only new step is Scan-to-Marry — a two-scan check right before the box closes that permanently links the QR card to the correct order.
Case Study Timeline
From first shipment to

We're targeting an early June first-order ship date. The fulfillment partner needs to be confirmed and onboarded before inventory arrives at your dock.

Partner Requirements
What we need from
the right partner.
A clean kitting workflow, Shopify connectivity, and workers comfortable with one new PWA scan step. This is the checklist.
- Receive and store ambient-temperature food product (individually sealed cookie boxes)
- Kit single orders: 3 cookies + QR card into branded outer box — all components supplied
- 3 business day pick-pack-ship SLA for continental US orders
- Return tracking numbers per order so our system activates the digital experience
- Train workers on one new PWA scan step — no app install, works on any phone
- Receive Shopify webhook on paid orders — we provide the full spec and handle setup on our end
- A stable connection at the kitting station — the PWA runs on any phone with no installation, but the Scan-to-Marry step confirms the match with our system before the box closes. We test this together before go-live
- A simple supervisor view we provide — shows live scan status and lets your team fix a mis-matched or failed scan on the spot, without waiting on us. We set it up; your team just needs a login
- FDA food facility registration, or confirmation you handle food-adjacent products already
- Continental US shipping only at launch — no AK, HI, or international
